The advisor network
Why here
Most advisors start from zero. You won't.
The hardest part of selling travel independently isn’t the selling — it’s being an unknown. A new storefront, no reviews, no reason for anyone to trust you with the trip they’ve saved a year for.
Waterfront Traveler hands you the opposite problem. There is already an audience here: readers working through forty-two destination guides, members inside The Collective, subscribers opening the Tideletter every week. They arrive knowing what they want — water — and they arrive already trusting the name above your signature.
You are not a generalist. Anyone can book a beach. You’ll be the person who knows which shoreline, in which month, at which hour the light is right — and that is what people pay an advisor for.
Everything but the passion
You bring the care and the client relationships. We bring the rest of the business.
01
Your own advisor profile under a name with published guides, an editorial voice and a real audience behind it.
02
Stays, flights, transfers and experiences through one system, with supplier rates and a secure checkout.
03
A published split that rises with volume, paid on a fixed monthly schedule. No mystery deductions.
04
How to quote, how to book, how to handle a change fee at midnight. Built for people who’ve never sold a trip.
05
Our photography, destination guides and Journal writing — yours to send, post and quote from.
06
A working group of advisors and a direct line to us. Not a ticket queue, not a call centre.
Two ways in. Same shoreline.
You bring the care and the client relationships. We bring the rest of the business.
Path one
You’ve planned every trip your friends have ever taken and wondered whether it could be the job. It can.
Path two
You have a book of clients and a host agency that treats you like a line item. Bring the book.
How it works
From application to your first booking
No pitch deck, no pressure webinar. Four steps, and a real person at each one.
Step 01
The short form below. We read every one — tell us about the water you know.
Step 02
A thirty-minute call. You’re interviewing us as much as we’re interviewing you.
Step 03
Agreement, platform access, your advisor profile, and the training that fits your starting point.
Step 04
Your first quote goes out. We’re on the line for it, and for the hundred after it.
The money
Published splits. No fine print.

Advisors, in their own words
I stopped competing with every agent on the internet the day I stopped selling everywhere and started selling water.

Advisor · two years
My clients had read three of the guides before they ever emailed me. That conversation starts somewhere completely different.

I came from a host agency where I was a number. Here someone actually picks up the phone at nine at night.

Straight answers
The questions everyone actually asks
Most trips scatter across a dozen tabs and end in a spreadsheet. Yours won’t. We carry you from the first pull of an idea to a confirmed booking without ever leaving the shoreline.
Requirements depend on where you live and where you sell — several states and countries register sellers of travel, and errors-and-omissions insurance is standard practice. We walk you through what applies to you during onboarding, and we’d always tell you to confirm your own position with a professional. You don’t need a certification in hand to apply.
No. You are never asked to recruit anyone, you earn nothing from anyone else’s sales, and there is no downline. You earn commission on the travel you sell. That’s the entire model.
Applying is free and there’s no franchise fee. There’s a modest monthly platform subscription once you’re active, which covers booking technology, your advisor profile, training and support — we quote it plainly on the call, before you sign anything.
Some. Enquiries that come through the site are routed to advisors, weighted by specialism and responsiveness. But we’d be lying if we said you could build a business on our leads alone — the advisors who do well here bring their own people and use our content to convert them.
Monthly, on a fixed date, once the supplier has settled the booking — which is usually after the client travels. Your dashboard shows every booking’s commission and status, including trips that haven’t departed yet.
Yes, and most people start that way. There’s no minimum sales requirement to stay in the network. The commission tiers reward volume, but nobody is removed for selling slowly.
No — you can book anything the platform carries. But the brand, the content and the audience are built around water, and the advisors who lean into that specialism are the ones who stand out.

Tell us about the water you know .
We read every application ourselves. There’s no automated screen and no aptitude test — we’re mostly trying to find out whether you actually care about this, because the rest can be taught.
We’ll never share your details. Applying costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
One last thing
They’re reading the guides right now, planning something they’ll remember for thirty years. They just don’t know your name yet.
